Clean Water and Sanitation
DACSOM works to improve access to safe and clean drinking water in rural communities affected by water scarcity. Our interventions include water needs assessments, advocacy, borehole and hand pump projects, and hygiene education.
Education and Civic Awareness
We provide basic education for children to build strong learning foundations, while promoting civic education for the wider community to strengthen capacity in local governance, youth leadership, human rights, and active participation. Through these programs, we empower both young learners and community members to contribute meaningfully to development and social progress.
Women and Youth Empowerment
DACSOM supports vulnerable women through skills training, agribusiness
initiatives, savings groups, and access to economic opportunities that enhance
household income and resilience.
Community Development and Infrastructure
We advocate for and support community infrastructure such as town halls,
schools, and social facilities that promote unity, governance, and service
delivery.

Environmental Protection
Agriculture and Food Security
Community Health and Well-being
DACSOM works to improve community health by supporting health awareness,

Enhancing Access to Clean Water and Sanitation for Vulnerable Communities in Rural Liberia
Donor Snapshot (Project Summary) In ten underserved towns in Liberia, more than 3,500 people, mostly women and children, struggle daily to access safe drinking water and basic sanitation. Families rely on unsafe water sources, walk long distances to fetch water, and face recurring waterborne diseases that threaten health, dignity, and livelihoods. The Darblo Clan Solidarity Movement (DACSOM) is responding with a community-driven clean water and sanitation project grounded in recent field assessments and documented community evidence. The project will deliver reliable water points, basic sanitation facilities, and hygiene education while strengthening local management systems to ensure sustainability. By investing in this project, donors will help reduce preventable diseases, ease the burden on women and girls, and restore dignity and opportunity to vulnerable
